What is IamaSource?

Source of inspiration

IamaSource (the name speaks for itself) was created to be a source for new ideas and inspirations for your business. IamaSource deals with design in all its shapes, so you can find very high quality designs from all over the world.

Lots of choices

The IamaSource community is growing fast and contests are a great stimulus for each designer’s creative inspiration, so don’t be surprised when you have to choose between lots of creative proposals for your new brand or activity: they are all for you.

Brief

i.e. the description of what you need and want to be created. Writing a design brief is your starting point. An intuitive interface will guide you through the brief preparation. Then, please remember the following guidelines while you filling out the brief:

Clean contests

Please don’t publish contests with illicit or obscene content… we are not that kind of community. IamaSource is all about high quality design.

Clear and detailed requirements

Be clear! Carefully describe what you need, because that will be what you get. You can also upload files to clarify your needs or include links to artwork you like in the brief. The more detailed you are, the more designers will create what you really like.
Specify which kind of files you want (AI, JPG, PSD, GIF…). Tip: vector graphics can be resized as you wish…

1 contest = 1 design

For each contest you can request the creation of a single creative work (example: a logo OR a brochure OR a template, etc. ..). Do not ask for artwork belonging to different categories in the same contest (example: a logo + a brochure + a template, etc ...)

Feedback

Communicating with the designers is the secret to achieve success. Tell them what you think of the entry received in order to help designers to create what you want. As a client you can communicate with all the designers who are participating in your contest at the same time.

Be clear and polite

Be clear in communicating what is good and what is wrong in the entries you've received and at the same time be polite. We know you’re… but we want to clarify better: IamaSource is a professionists’ community and they deserve professional clients. When you really do not know what to say "Thank you for your entry" is always welcome!
Tip: if you notice some designer being not professional, please contact us, or simply delete his suspicious entries. He will understand.

Don’t be shy…

The designers need your attention while they’re working for you. They constantly need advice and feedback from you. They want to be on your page, but they need your help, so any comments are greatly appreciated. Then, we suggest voting and commenting on each entry proposed: this helps you to have more proposals with higher quality…and also your reputation will grow.

Budget and payment

As you know IamaSource gives you the opportunity to decide the budget you want to open a contest. Obviously the higher the budget, the greater the number of designers you attract. But this decision is up to you.
IamaSource also offers various payment method, choose the one you prefer.

All contests are guaranteed

On IamaSource it is possible to open only guaranteed contests whose budget is paid in advance. In this way, the designers will actively participate in the contests, because they know that one of them surely will be chosen as a winner. Guaranteed contests will ensure greater quality, and greater number of proposals to the clients, but also greater security for Designers.

Worried about your budget?

Don’t worry about it! We’ll give you the possibility to get your budget back if there are less than 10 designers who participate in your contest. We are sure about the quality of our community, but this is our commitment to provide more guarantees.

Only one design is the winner

At the end of contest you’ll get all rights on the single winning entry. Other proposals for the contest belong to the designers. Remember that you can only use the winning design once the payment is completed.

Before choosing…

Do your research! IamaSource is working as a marketplace for designers and clients, nothing more. We won’t provide you with prior art searches, so please do it yourself by contacting our designers if you need to (as you would do with a typical advertising agency).
